08 Jul Session Share: The Perfect Look
So many of my clients stress over finding the “perfect look” for their session and I agree, it can be a bit stressful. It’s hard to know what to wear, is the sitting going to be a more vintage look? Whimsy? Urban? All these things make a big difference in your clothing selections for your session. The best advise I can give is to discuss with your photographer the inspiration for the shoot and your ideas so together you can both use your creative energy to have the perfect look for your session. For this session, I knew sweet little L could pull off some bright colors with her dark hair so we went with it. She was such a doll and smiled the entire day! I loved adding all the bright color to make it a very FUN summer look. I have found that people always find a great spot to display their bright colorful portraits in their houses and it really makes the image come alive when displayed in groups of 3-4 from the same location.
With every session comes challenges and for this session, it was the bright sun! We were shooting at about 11:00 am here, in Montana we have bright and LONG summer days which can be a challenge to find some sweet light but we managed to do it. Miss L’s mom was game for anything and open to any locations and clothing/prop suggestions, the dream client! She was just thrilled, it’s so fulfilling to hear your client say “Thank you Tina – every time I look at these – I light up!! 🙂 She has a way of doing that. Thanks again! And I am telling my friends about you….hands down fabulous work!!!” Having clients that adore their portraits and feeling like you had a very successful-creative session just makes my day. So, for a home run consult your photographer early and get a game plan for the look your going for, make the best of the session for both of you!
