04 Oct Session Share – Newborn
Inspiration: I was most inspired by the love radiating from Emma’s parents. So often in my sessions I tap into the feelings the family has for one another. I find this easiest with newborn sessions, as the adoration is palpable. It also helps that I can tap into memories I have of when my son was born. The fascination with every line, every fold, every expression guides my eye during the session. I was also inspired by the beautiful pink nursery, which screamed femininity.
Favorite Element: Textures. I loved pairing Emma’s baby skin with different textures, like the tutu, vintage chair, wainscoting and lambswool.
Biggest Challenge: Deciding how to present each image in the sneak peek. So many of these images look beautiful both as color and black and white. My clients always get to see both versions in the online ordering gallery but when I post a sneak peek, I pick my favorite version.
What Clients said?: Thea, the photos are great! Thank you! I love the black and white ones!
Photographer’s final words: Thank you NAPCP for providing such a valuable resource to both parents and photographers!
