15 Sep Farmwood Press Giveaway!
Farmwood Press
“Souls dwell in printers’ type.” –Joseph Ames
Letterpress is our second love, right after our adorable daughter Rosemary. We are artists and small business owners. Just like you we also photographers. Our company, 6 of Four is based in Atlanta and is founded on organic luxury. Our clients have come to expect this and the standard of letterpress from us. We are striving for excellence in the legacy of our craft. We specialize is calling cards, birthday invitations, birth announcements, wedding invitations, stationery and custom posters.
Letterpress is the oldest form of printing, tracing its roots back to Gutenberg’s famous printing press in the 15th century. It is distinguished by its unique beauty and tactile quality, elements that fell by the wayside with the rise of faster and cheaper printing methods in the late 20th century. With rich color and palpable, three-dimensional beauty, letterpressed cards and invitations are heirloom-worthy keepsakes of your special day.
To create a letterpressed piece, we apply ink to a surface with raised letters which is then pressed into the paper, creating a visible impression unparalleled by other forms of printing. Letterpress printing requires a great deal of skill and craftsmanship, as each piece is individually handled and pressed.
It’s a technique steeped in tradition, a little piece of the old world in the midst of our modern one. Your representation deserves nothing less. Make sure to create a standard of excellence for each person you come in contact with by using letterpress calling cards. Letterpress sets this standard and immediately shows your awareness for quality and art.
