NAPCP: Where is your business located and how long have you been a professional photographer?
Libbie Wicket: My business is located in Smyrna, GA and I am just about to enter my 11th year of business.
N: What is your favorite way to print or display your personal images?
LW: I LOVE having personal images all around me. I print my images on yearly calendars, coasters, stickers, wood, and, my favorite, canvas.
N: Give a shout-out to your favorite blog, website, or social media personality.
LW: I have a wide assortment of places I go daily online… no judging allowed on this…
I adore this girls tutorials on how to do hair.
For inspiration and to learn something to make me a little smarter, I go to TEDTalks.
For marketing and business I head over to Marie Forleo.
Finally, when I just need to smile and laugh I visit SoulPancake.
N: Tell us your five favorite things!
LW: My hilarious family, walking into a clean, organized house, long talks with good friends, all holiday smells, and the opportunity to be an entrepreneur and set my own hours around my family.
N: Why do you love NAPCP?
LW: I LOVE the NAPCP community for so many reasons. First, I appreciate how openly and honestly the photographers all share with one another. Secondly, I adore the deep friendships that have formed in the group. It is not at all cliquish but instead so accepting of members no matter where they are in their journey. NAPCP is a sweet gem in the middle of a profession that has often been filled with controversy in the past years. NAPCP has been able to remain an ethical, loving community who supports each other and our profession as a whole. Alice and Kyu deserve a tremendous amount of credit for building this very special group and forming it into what it is today. I am proud to be a small part of it!
Thank you so much, Libbie! Be sure to check out Libbie’s gorgeous work on her website, Facebook, and Instagram!
NAPCP: Where is your business located and how long have you been a professional photographer?
Tira Young: My business is located in Upland, California. About 40 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. I have a natural light studio in my home and I’ve been a professional photographer for nine years.
N: What is your favorite way to print or display your personal images?
TY: My favorite way to display our own images is canvas gallery wraps with and without a beautiful wood frame and then getting the rest of our images into albums.
N: Give a shout-out to your favorite blog, website, or social media personality.
TY: I love to read Justin & Mary’s blog. Even though they are wedding photographers and that ship has sailed for me, they are truly amazing people online and in person.
My favorite social media personality is Mashable / Pete Cashmore.
N: Tell us your five favorite things!
TY:
1. My husband David and our brand new baby boy John who we have been blessed with via foster care / adoption.
2. A camera. I don’t care what it is, just as long as it can freeze a moment in time.
3. My ONA Chelsea Camera Bag. I finally parted with my beloved Shootsac and just drool over this bag everytime I use it.
4. Coffee! Who doesn’t love it?
5. People. I thrive off of having authentic quality relationships with people and because of that, my life is complete.
N: Why do you love NAPCP?
TY: I love NAPCP because of the authenticity of each and every member. I’ve learned so much from the men and women that are part of this amazing group since day one. And hands down, because of Alice. She is truly one of a kind and hopefully every single NAPCP member will get to meet her at least once during their career.
Thank you so much, Tira! Be sure to check out Tira’s inspiring work on her website, Facebook, and Instagram!
