For anyone who had the pleasure of attending the NAPCP Retreat 2016 at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, they know that it was a week full of amazing education, fostering great friendships, encouragement, community and fun! No detail went unnoticed at the retreat, and I was honored to have the chance to speak during a breakout session on Food Photography & Styling. With brains full of new knowledge and plans to begin implementing in business, some of the attendees spent the afternoon stretching their creative minds in a different way – one that was full of food, drinks and getting to “play with our food,” if you will. After talking about food photography & styling principles and tips, we took to the sidewalk to get a bit hands on with this amazing Pomegranate Rosemary Prosecco cocktail!

The recipe is truly quite simple! I’ve been wanting to try out my new Powell & Mahoney Pomegranate mixer since we collaborated a while back, so with the help of that and your favorite bottle of prosecco or champagne, you can have a fabulous cocktail perfect for an evening treat or even some Galentine’s Day fun.
Simply pour the prosecco into a glass and top with the Pomegranate mixer to taste. As with mimosas, I prefer a bit more prosecco to my mixer, but you can be the judge for your preference! Throw in a handful of pomegranate arils and add a sprig of fresh rosemary as a garnish, and … cheers, enjoy!

I loved the way the color of the red and green really pops against the neutral surface. The scattering of pomegranate on the surface adds great texture & depth to the image, while the pouring of the prosecco makes you feel like you’re ready to jump right in and grab a glass to clink with your love, or your favorite ladies!
Just make sure to have extra prosecco on hand, because you’re sure to want another round of such a tasty & refreshing drink!
