26 Oct Session Share: Newborn in Dubai
Inspiration: I always find myself drawn to whimsical pictures related to fantasy, hence the fairy logo! I’ve recently stumbled upon the photography work of Barb Uil, and I’m constantly drooling over the props, ideas and fun photo shoots she has.
Favorite Element: Once I started doing outdoor photo shoots, I couldn’t stop. Studio photography has it’s up sides, but how can you ignore the amazing sun-flair? I’m now all about using natural light to your advantage.
Biggest Challenge: The weather in Dubai is the biggest challenge. We’re already in mid October and it’s still humid and hot. Fortunately for me, I’ve taken pictures of the family before the baby’s arrival, so they trusted my taste and my crazy idea of having the photo shoot at 6am. The beach was empty, and warm weather meant 6-day-old David was comfy in his new-born suit.
What the Client Said: The photos were excellent! Seeing them printed on our wall everyday makes us fall in love with them all over again. We can’t wait for our next session. Thanks for turning a moment in our life to magic 🙂
Photographers’ Final Words: I’ve always had a preference for outdoors, but coming out of my comfort zone was what pushed me. I’m lucky because I was surrounded by friends who let me spend hours with their kids till I perfected the image I had in mind. Have an image in mind, and start learning how to capture it. Next thing you’ll know, you would have your own twist and make it your signature look.
