The National Association of Professional Child Photographers is striving to bring together a community of passionate artists committed to growing their skills, their artistry, and their business. The best way to do this is through face-to-face connections! To be considered for NAPCP Ambassador status in the NAPCP community, please check back next year. Applications for 2023 are now closed.

Our NAPCP Ambassadors are the eyes, ears, and faces of NAPCP in their local communities, throughout the world. Additionally, NAPCP Ambassadors will provide leadership and positive influence in our private NAPCP Member Community Facebook group and hosted events. NAPCP Gatherings take place any time during a specified week. We ask that applicants make sure that they are available during these weeks before committing to being an Ambassador.

Our 2023 Gatherings dates are as follows:

April 17th – 23rd | September 11th – 17th
  • Host gatherings (#NAPCPgatherings) in your local area on dates provided above. Share updated information about NAPCP and guide conversation using the topics in the PDF provided by NAPCP.
  • Conduct yourself in a positive and professional manner, to support our industry and community
  • Provide images from gatherings to NAPCP
  • Serve as the link for open communication between the NAPCP team and your local photographers, to continue NAPCP’s mission of growth and support in our industry and give feedback following your gathering to help us improve our program
  • Be open to sharing business ideas and helping others
  • Organize events and shoot outs with those you make contact with
  • Promote our sponsors during your Gathering
  • Create invites and reach out to other members in your area to create a sense of community
  • Foster connections and conversations both in-person and in the NAPCP Member Community
  • Free, 1 year membership to NAPCP
  • Be the first to hear about future events in the NAPCP community and give feedback
  • Featured on Ambassador page on the NAPCP website
  • Get special recognition on your profile in the NAPCP directory
  • Ambassador-exclusive NAPCP seal for promotional use on your website
  • Support materials and documents provided to run a successful event
  • Get your work featured in the NAPCP Instagram feed
  • Get featured in our monthly magazine, Inspired
  • Special gifts throughout the year from NAPCP and/or our sponsors
  • One Year of NAPCP membership prior to application
  • Strong portfolio of child & family focused portrait work
  • Minimum of three years in business as a professional photographer
